INTRODUCTION

            MILCO Concrete Concepts, LLC is pleased to introduce it's innovative and cost-effective Adjust-a-Trak Penetration-free Forming System for the precast concrete industry.

            The MILCO Adjust-a-Trak Penetration-free Forming System enables precasters to eliminate the need to use welding and/or penetrating devices to secure edge forms, cutouts, chamfer and reveal to casting bed surfaces.

            The principal components of the MILCO / TrusJoist® Forming System are MILCO Spray Adhesive, MILCO height-adjustable Adjust-a-Trak edge and common tracks, TrusJoist® TimberStrand® 1⅛" LSL form and blocking material and Weyerhaeuser Premium MDF for reveal and chamfer.

            The construction industry outsources and receives many advantages from prefabrication and precast concrete manufacturing, including things such as time and cost savings, due to enabling concurrent different production lines; increasing constructability, and reducing congestion on site due to changing from an uncontrollable work environment on site to a controllable one in factories. Precast concrete manufacturers (or "precasters") are involved in a construction project team as suppliers or subcontractors who produce, deliver, and elect precast components.

            Made-to-order precast production process consists of three main processes, namely product design, production planning, and shop floor manufacturing.   The precast manufacturing process mainly consists of six routine tasks: (1) mold assembling and oiling; (2) reinforcement cage, mosaic, tile (or other embedded parts) installing; (3) concrete placing; (4) curing; (5) mold stripping; and (6) product finishing.

            The MILCO Spray Adhesive System implements a methodology to reduce customer lead-time for both made-to-stock and made-to-order precast products and results in a 2-to-1 cost savings for the precaster by dramatically reducing the overall manufacturing time and providing a more economical and secure method of temporarily attaching block-outs, reveal and other inserts during the manufacturing process.

            Specifically, MILCO Spray Adhesive allows precasters to: (1) eliminate the use of silicone calking — and its cumbersome removal process —  as a method of adhesion; (2) eliminate the use of two-sided tape and drilling and taping as a means for securing reveal; and (3) eliminate the necessity for tearing casting beds apart after each pour and rejoining them prior to the next job.

            MILCO Spray Adhesive also provides a convenient and cost-effective means to secure and join Styrofoam bocks and similar products to working surfaces.

            All System components were specifically selected for inclusion on the basis — as established by extensive field testing — that they were the best product that the commercial construction industry had to offer for the application at hand, and that they were 100% compatible with one another.

            The "MILCO System" for reducing surface penetrations involves the use of specific products — MILCO Spray Adhesive and MILCO Adjust-a-Trak — combined with specific application methods and the utilization of complementary construction products to assure optimum results in a wide variety of climatic conditions.

            For optimum dependability, MILCO recommends that its Spray Adhesive product be applied only in conjunction with compatible MILCO-tested and approved third-party-manufactured products, such as adhesive applicators, bond-breakers, form materials and surface cleaners.

MILCO / TRUSJOIST®
PENETRATION-FREE FORMING SYSTEM

            The MILCO / TrusJoist® Penetration-free Forming System is based upon the use of MILCO Adjust-a-Trak "EdgeTrak" and "CommonTrak" height-adjustable PVC base forms (See diagrams below).

            With the MILCO / TrusJoist® System, quick installation of common forms and edge forms is made with these easy steps...

(1)     Adjust-a-Trak "EdgeTrak" or "CommonTrak" sections are installed against a chalk line on the casting bed floor with MILCO Spray Adhesive.

(2)      A 1" x 1½" - wide spacer of pre-determined height (See item "C" in the diagrams below) is inserted into the track's channel, resting on the bottom surface. The spacers are distributed along the Adjust-a-Trak as necessary to support the ends of each length of TrusJoist® LSL panel board that will rest on top of the spacers.

(3)     Following installation of the spacers, 1⅛" TrusJoist® TimberStrand® LSL panel forms of a pre-determined height are inserted into the Adjust-a-Trak channel and seated on top of the spacers.

(4)     For edge form installations, TrusJoist® TimberStrand® LSL 8" x 8" blocks are installed on 24" centers on the casting bed floor along the perimeter edges of the Adjust-a-Trak "EdgeTrak" with MILCO Tilt-Up Spray Adhesive and then "L"- brackets are screwed into place on the block and against the LSL and "EdgeTrak" to assure sufficient lateral strength.

I.    USER LICENSE AGREEMENT

      MILCO CONCRETE CONCEPTS, LLC is the owner, holder or licensee of one or more provisional patent application(s), patent application(s), patent(s) and/or copyright(s)related to the use of the MILCO SPRAY ADHESIVE product in the construction industry and the method(s) of application described and set forth in this Website, on any label, instruction sheet and elsewhere.  A one-time limited use license, the cost of which is included in the purchase price of the MILCO SPRAY ADHESIVE product, is granted to the product purchaser and/or end user of this adhesive product until such time as the adhesive product is spent.  Use of the MILCO SPRAY ADHESIVE product by purchaser and/or end user constitutes user's agreement to the terms and conditions recited in any label, instruction sheet, product literature and/or in any or warnings furnished with the MILCO SPRAY ADHESIVE product.  The use of any other spray adhesive product(s) in conjunction with the application method(s) expressed herein without the prior written consent of MILCO CONCRETE CONCEPTS, LLC is expressly forbidden and may constitute a violation of MILCO CONCRETE CONCEPTS, LLC's intellectual property rights.  For more information concerning this limited use license, contact MILCO CONCRETE CONCEPTS, LLC.

II.    LIMITED LIABILITY AGREEMENT

      IMPORTANT WARRANTY NOTICE:  neither MILCO CONCRETE CONCEPTS, LLC, nor TrusJoist®, a Weyerhaeuser Business,  make any warranties, express or implied, including, but not limited to, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. User is responsible for determining whether this product is fit for a particular purpose and suitable for user's method of application. LIMITATION OF REMEDIES AND LIABILITY:  If this  product is proved to be detective, the exclusive remedy, at MILCO's and/or TrusJoist's® option, shall be to refund the purchase price of, or to repair or replace the defective product.  MILCO CONCRETE CONCEPTS, LLC and/or TrusJoist® shall not otherwise be liable for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential, regardless of the legal theory asserted, including negligence, warranty or strict liability.

III.    EMPTY CYLINDER DISPOSAL

END-USER CUSTOMER:

       MILCO'S EMPTY CYLINDER RETURN PROGRAM:    Please use the original cardboard shipping container and label provided by MILCO.  Close cylinder valve and replace dust cap prior to return shipment.   Contact your distributor or MILCO to arrange for pickup of empty cylinders.  Freight is prepaid if returned in quantities of 9 or more 5-gallon cylinders per shrink-wrapped pallet.   If quantity is less than 9 cylinders, please contact your distributor for consolidation.  Contact your distributor or MILCO CONCRETE CONCEPTS, LLC for assistance or further information regarding pick-up.

MILCO DISTRIBUTORS:

      MILCO'S EMPTY CYLINDER RETURN PROGRAM:    Please use the original cardboard shipping container and label provided by MILCO.   Close all cylinder valves and replace dust caps prior to return shipment.   Please use all description designations used on the original bill of lading by MILCO CONCRETE CONCEPTS, LLC when preparing the bill of lading for return shipment.   Freight is prepaid if returned in quantities of 9 or more 5-gallon cylinders per shrink-wrapped pallet.   Contact MILCO CONCRETE CONCEPTS, LLC to arrange pick-up or for further information or assistance.
